This is a very informative post about affiliate marketing. Thanks for sharing your insights on this topic. I have been analyzing affiliate marketing programs and it's difficult to cut through the massive hype by some programs which claim to generate thousands of dollars in affiliate income. Interestingly, every program's disclaimer usually states the "one person's results are not reflective of the results everyone who participates can expect." I write a best practices blog on digital and social media marketing called The Digital Raindance (http://www.thedigitalraindance.com) and look forward to interacting with you and your readers on this and many other interesting digital marketing topics.

Keyword research is the start of any SEO or copy writting exercise. However, you need to change your way of thinking and think of the search from your customers perspective - this is where people still go wrong even after the data results

I still feel amazed by this try outs to "kill" something that is working like a charm, this being Google search engine. This is just another example.

Well, I have a family website and a professional one. I am a published writer and my articles are everywhere - from the online edition Australia's Sydney Morning Herald to the UK's Cat World Magazine - however - according to Cuil - I simply do not exist.

Apart from cuil.com not loading at all at the moment, it takes ages to load for me.

I did a search for my own CMS product earlier and got some results, with bizarre completely unrelated pictures next to a couple of the results.

Ill be sticking with the big G too.

Oh, forgot to mention... if those e-mails get too irritating you can always turn notifications off in your twitter profile.

Hi Doncha,

Thanks for the comment. If only enough people were interested in following me to make the e-mails annoying ;-).

Likewise on the guilt thing... but there are plenty of people who feel a natural compulsion to reciprocate when somebody says they want to be "friends".

Guess it's human nature.

Twitter is fundamentally an opt-in platform, so I'm not convinced the spam thing really holds water -- and the blacklist is just daft. You can't define a spammer by the ratio of followers to people followed.

Will be watching developments with interest.
